You may be excited to imagine that your site will get you great sales. But, possession of a well-made website rarely guarantees success in your business. - Links from websites that hold excellent rankings on the search engines are considered highly valuable.
- The sites that link to your website should be relevant and should deal with a topic related to your field of activity.
- Search engines consider a few sites as authoritative. This condition, along with the relevancy condition, was first used in the famous Teoma algorithm. That was later incorporated as a part of the Ask algorithm. Search engines like Google have also started implementing this algorithm. So, the links you get for your website should be from authoritative sites also.
- If the links you have for your site are from trusted websites, your site will also get a high trust score from the search engines. Search engines are implementing this clause because they want to discourage manipulation or purchase of links.
- You should not overlook the fact that every section and every page of your site will be evaluated by search engines to determine the ranking of your website. This means that the links on every page will be checked to find out if they are from trusted and relevant sites that have excellent rankings on the search engines.
In a nutshell, for succeeding in your efforts to get a good ranking for your website on the search engines, you should consider the following four very important components of link building. The components are:
- The links you get should be from authoritative websites.
- There should be enough number of links and they should keep increasing.
- You should get links not only on the Home Page of your website but on the other pages also. These are known as "deep links".
- You should have anchor text also for improving the rankings.
Experts advise that if you are not sure of the quality of the sites, it is better you have links on directories, blog posts and social networking sites. These are normal links. You can try guest blogging, viral campaigns, etc. also for getting high-quality links.
You must remember that you cannot get instant results. You should work hard to get such good links and succeed in your link-building efforts.
