2 - Give it Away
One of the most effective ways to generate new clients in my business is ALWAYS an "Ask me Anything" day. Quite simply, you set up a day, or an hour, or a live event, or even... MOST automatic, you program that into an email sequence that goes out to your list after they sign up. (let's say on day 3, your 3rd message offers them the opportunity to share their biggest challenge, or pose any question they have about your niche, industry or area of expertise) Remember, it's 100% FREE, which is a great trust building and relationship facilitating exercise, and it allows people to bond with you, your brand, your blog, and your message... which is great for generating follow up interest, and orders EVERY time.
3 - Create CONTINUITY in your Conversation
The real trick that most coaches never learn... and it's so simple that it's scary, is that people have CHOICES. They have options. There are a million different coaches, consultants, teachers and trainers in most niches or markets, and the ones that succeed are those that are continuously "conversing" with their communities. That means AUTOMATION. Writing a series of email messages, for example, over a short weekend, and programming them into an auto responder, and staging them to go out every 2nd day for a month. After someone signs up for your list... for 30 days, they will hear from you, feel like they know you a bit, get comfortable, and confident with your content (or not, which is fine too) and when you have something to SELL, they are far more likely to pick YOU to help them get where they truly want to be. (rather than someone who inspired them once a month ago... and didn't follow up proactively at all)
All of these WORK. They work right now. They are a drop a in the bucket in terms of the overall opportunities you have to get your name out there, but if you try them, and apply them, and you are serious about success... I PROMISE you, you will develop a community of fans, friends, followers, and clients who love you back.
