Strategy 2. Decide what people will gain from coming to your blog. What was great for Rebecca was she had a blog up and going and she was blogging regularly. The bad news is she didn’t know what she wanted to focus on, so she had no consistent theme running through her blog. Think of Pepsi, what if it tasted a little different each time you bought it. People would never buy it because they would never know what they were getting. Same with building your online business, people have to know what they will get each time they come to your blog or do business with you.
Strategy 3. Who are you speaking to in your blog? This is big. Who is the client you are talking to with each form of communication on your blog? Everything from the words you write to the colors and pictures you choose should be tailored to your ideal client. This was another problem Rebecca was having, because her topics were so varied, so was the person she was writing to. This was one of our problems too when we first started we tried to be everything to everyone and in reality we were not connecting with anyone. Strategy 4. Solve your ideal clients problem. People come to the Internet and to your blog and business to solve a problem. Let them know you understand the problem and help them find a solution. Make it crystal clear to them what you can do for them.
Strategy 5. Be consistent. We talked about having a consistent message but it’s important also to be consistent in your message delivery. Let me give you an example. If you post on your blog one time this week and then not again for another 2 weeks and then post 3 blog posting that week it’s kind of like the earlier coke example your costumer or client never knows what to expect. People like to know you are reliable and will be around to help them in the future. They want to know they can trust you. Consistency helps build the trust.

I am not familiar with the hosting service offered by 1and1.com. But I am extremely pleased with the hosting from BlueHost and Godaddy. I use both of them. In my opinion the key is to make sure that they have the one click install of WordPress, otherwise you need to be kind of techie to install WordPress.
